you can barely see it -- but there is a small white triangle sticking up in the air from the water -- a little left of the center of the picture. That is a boat! This is along I-10
We saw lots of signs either on the ground or bent over or really "skewed" by the winds. This is along I-10 and this was a big casino sign.
This is in Ocean Springs on Sioux Avenue, where my sister lives. Most of the houses on the "bottom/lower" side were under water or had about 8 feet or more of water in them/over them. My sisters home was on stilts and received water damage to the bottom part of the house -- what all these people are doing is gutting the houses and starting over -- insurance does not cover them to tear them down and start over -- I found that amazing!
This is a home near my sisters in Ocean Springs -- you see a LOT LOT LOT of the blue FEMA temporary roofing around --
Near my sisters home. The houses on the hilly area only received wind damage -- not water damage like the lower homes.
All the "blue roofs" from FEMA -- everywhere you look.
On the way home -- lots of debris along the freeway (I-10)
Even this far inland -- it looks like a giant walked along the trees and just smashed them in -- an amazing site.
Giant lighting, fallen down (yes, I took these last pictures haha)
Even on bridges, debris debris debris
Pray for Waveland, Long Beach, Pass Christian, Gulfport, Biloxi and all the surrounding area -- they need it -- I pray someone, somewhere can help -- we'll do all we can do, and together, we can move mountains.
